Groups + Fashion = Shooting

These are group fashion shoot images I took with my Professional Imaging class from BYU-Idaho

They say that two’s company and three’s a crowd. I agree.  When it comes to shooting a fashion group it can get complicated having to pose each individual person.  I now understand how one person can be better at modeling than another.  Some people know how naturally pose and they are easy to work with, but throw in an inexperienced person and things change.

All of these group shots were take out at Egin Lake near the sand dunes by St. Anthony, Idaho.  Lindsey LeFevre's shoot the fashion group photo. Couple dancing in Egin Lake at sunset. Chance Beattie and Ian Young are my models that are dancing in Egin Lake. They were phenomenal at posing just the way I wanted.  Dancers make great models because they know how to control their bodies and movements.  Dancers are also accustomed to creativity and out of the box thinking.  Loved my models!

Maven Bride has a article about how to set up a fashion shoot party.  I love the idea of calling your modeling session a party!  They also nailed the large group photo.  I’m still working on just capturing two people let alone an entire group.
